The Scottish Golf Union
In April 2012, Murcar Links hosted The Paul Lawrie Foundation sponsored Scottish Boys Matchplay Championship with the eventual winner being Craig Howie of Peebles.
In April 2005, Murcar Links hosted the BP sponsored Scottish Boys Matchplay Championships. The eventual winner was Scott Henry of Cardross.
Scottish Ladies Golfing Association
Between 8 and 12 July 2008, Murcar Links played host to the European Girls Team Championships. Open to teams of four girls, two rounds of stroke play qualifying were followed by match play. Sweden retained their title.
European Challenge Tour
In July 2006, Murcar Links hosted the inaugural ‘Scottish Challenge’. This tournament signaled the start of Scotland’s build up to hosting the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles and the event was won by Englishman Sam Walker.
The R and A St Andrews
In August 2006, Murcar Links hosted the British Boys Plate.
European Seniors Tour
In July 2005, Murcar Links hosted the pre-qualifying tournament for the British Senior Open. The main event won by Tom Watson, and was held over the neighbouring Balgownie Links of Royal Aberdeen Golf Club. You will struggle to find a better back to back 36 holes of links golf in Scotland than the links of Murcar and Balgownie.
PGA Scottish Region
In July 2005, Murcar Links hosted the Grampian / Houston Pro Am. The winning score was 72 and the joint winners were: Paul Girvan, Gordon Law and Murray Urquhart.
